Date Modified: 05/29/2008 3:47 PM
Since its founding in 1919, Rochester’s own symphony and chorale was managed by the City of Rochester until 1996 when
Rochester Symphony Orchestra & Chorale launched its first season as an independent music organization.
This outstanding group is comprised of approximately 70 orchestral musicians and 70 chorale musicians, many of whom hold college degrees in music and are full-time professional or semi-professional musicians. This premier performance organization continues to meet our community’s demand for quality musical performance and exciting education ventures.
