The city of Rochester has more than 80 parks available for a variety of activities.

Picnic shelters are available to reserve in the following parks: Central, Bear Creek, Cooke, Eastwood, Essex, Foster-Arend, Kutzky, Quarry Hill, East and West East Park Silver Lake (and three shelters at the Adventure Playground), Eastwood Slatterly and Soldiers Field. A nominal rental fee is charged. Fees range from $50, $100 and $200 depending upon size of group.

The city has more than 29 miles of hiking and biking trails, both paved and unpaved. Maps of these trails are available at the Park and Recreation office for $1. For more information visit the Park and Recreation website.
