The
Cannon Valley Trail winds through diverse and magnificent scenery on what used to be the Chicago Great Western Railroad line, which connected the towns of Cannon Falls, Welch, and Red Wing.
The trail is open year round for bucycling, in-line skating, skateboarding, hiking, and walking. However, pets are not allow on the trail. All trail users over the age of 18 must have a valid Wheel Pass when using the trail between April 1st and November 1st. The Great Minnesota Ski Pass is required for all cross country skiers.
