After six years as the runner-up in this hotly-contested category, Dos Amigos has finally taken the top spot for the Best Mexican Food. They started with a classic location, when they moved one of the city's most historic buildings (the 105-year-old, restored train depot) onto one of the city's most historic spots (the former site of the Bradley House, a 40-room hotel which, in the mid-1800s, served as a stagecoach stop on the Dubuque Trail). Then they added classic staples, like their white salsa, fajitas, Mexican beers, and mariachi music.
